VIDEO: Picking Up Poop for Science | National Geographic

VIDEO: At the Saint Louis Zoo, picking up poop is a serious job. Poop samples are collected and sent to a lab in order to, among other things, check on hormone levels: Scientists are able to tell when a female is pregnant and how far along she is, and lab results can help shed light on why a female can’t reproduce.
